Daiwa 24 TD Black 2500 and Emeraldas Squidding Fishing Combo

The Daiwa Emeraldas X is a purpose built squid rod, it is over 8ft long which means you will be able to cast your jigs far out to patches of seaweed otherwise unreachable. The longer rods also help when landing squid off of the rocks as it keeps your line away from Cunji, Oysters and other bits of growth at your feet which you can get tangled or caught up in. As most Squid rods do, the Emeraldas X has a lovley slow taper this puts less pressure on your hook point when Squid lunge backwards reducing the likelyhood that you will pull hooks. The 24 TD Black 2500 D has a lovely smooth drag and a deep enough spool to hold heavier line which is important for Squidding as you typically will cast heavier lures.
