The lenses come in both polycarbonate and crown glass options, each equipped with Standard and High Definition clarity to ensure sharp, vibrant views. These lenses are polarised to cut through glare, making them ideal for outdoor activities, while the oleophobic coating resists smudges, and the hydrophobic coating repels water, keeping your vision clear in any environment. An anti-reflective coating further enhances comfort by minimising internal reflections, allowing you to focus without distraction. Available in a variety of colours and mirror finishes, with a TR90 frame that ensures shape retention and flexibility, the Mako GT XL delivers exceptional performance, style, and comfort.

Grey Polarised Lens

General purpose colour. Does not enhance colour. Perfect for offshore fishing, driving and all sports. Grey lenses are very relaxing for the eye, filtering the most light of any lens colour and providing a very natural colour balance.

Anti-Reflective Coating

Anti-reflective (AR) coating was developed before WW2 and stops reflections occurring on the inside face of the lens giving you better vision. We use 12 layers of AR on our glass lenses (approx 30% higher than industry standards) as well as oleophobic and hydrophobic coatings.

Oleophobic Coating

Oleophobic treatments or coatings are added on the lens surfaces to repel oil, dust, water, and dirt. This makes you sunglasses easier to clean and makes the lens less susceptible to scratching. It's similar to some mobile phone coatings available today.

Hydrophobic Coating

Hydrophobic coatings on the outer layer of the lens ensure water beads up and runs off the lens in a way similar to the way rain will run off a windscreen that has been treated with Rain X.

Mako Warranty

Mako Sunglasses are warranted against defects in materials and/or workmanship for 24 months from date of purchase. Mako reserves the right to repair or replace any product we identify as having a manufacturing defect.

This warranty does not include damage occurring as a result of normal wear and tear including scratched or broken lenses, or breakages/damage as result of misuse.  Any alteration to your Mako sunglasses will void your warranty

Should your sunglasses require repair that is not covered under warranty, we offer a repair service at a reasonable rate and will advise you of the cost prior to commencing the repair work.
