Drifter "Jungle"

The ‘Jungle’ has more tip power than most short spin rods in this class. This is to enable a larger range of lures to be cast a good distance with such a short rod, and makes it easier to manipulate the lure during the retrieve. The medium action aids in easy loading which not only assists with casting but is more suitable when treble-hooks are used. The handle of the ‘Jungle’ is quite short which positions the reel close the butt end of the rod. This creates more effective tip length, allowing the rod to perform like a longer rod. It also means that the rod handle is more easily manoeuvred and won’t catch in long sleeves.

Drifter "Stream"

The Drifter ‘Stream’ is our lightweight mid-length spin rod designed from scratch for Aussie freshwater applications. The action is super smooth and perfect for lightweight finesse fishing. Suitable for all types of lures from small spinners to crankbaits, jerkbaits, micro swimbaits and topwater, this rod fires lures such as a classic 7cm floating minnow like a bullet, yet also has pinpoint accuracy due to the easy loading tip action.

Lake trout fishing in Australia is experiencing some fantastic times, and a lot of this focus is on the highly productive technique of lure trolling. This type of fishing has been popular for many years but until now there hasn’t been a performance rod designed and dedicated to the application…  Enter the Millerods idler 802UL, combining the correct blank power, action, length and handle style all in the one rod design for the serious boating trout angler! The blank is light-powered with a sensitive tip that displays the lure’s working movement while the extra length gives a better spread of distance between lures. The medium action is softer through the middle section which is gentler on hook holds, something that’s regularly a problem with hooked trout. There is reserve power in the lower 1/3 should it be needed.

While designed primarily for drift rigging and casting hard bodied lures, the Drifter 832 has far wider applications. Making long casts with a conventional spinner in the rivers is another, as is drifting baits. And in the lakes it’s ideal for bait fishing with or without a float, using natural or synthetic baits. The graphite blank is ultra-light, super sensitive, with a super-soft tip action with all the forgiveness needed when using fly size hooks yet enough low-down power to easily cast minnows this is one unique rod! The custom handle is a blend of traditional cork for sensitivity and lightness with a low profile, ergonomic reel seat that’s comfortable in the hand
