This is a solid jigging combo ready to be fished hard on the outer reef. The Shimano Torium 14 is a little reel but its 7kg of drag and 300m of 40lb braid gives you the ability to put the brakes on bigger fish such as large Coral Trout or Dogtooth Tuna. This compact jigging combo is so light that you will be able to use it all day and not become fatigued. Daiwa's Monster Mesh jig rods are as solid as anything, the power you get low down from these rods gives you solid leverage over fish allowing you to crank up the drag and put more pressure on. We spooled this combo with J-Braid x8 40lbs, a tough and abrasion resistant Braid used by the staff at Ottos Tackle World.
