Designed for jigging sabiki rigs when gathering bait, with the design allowing the rig to be wound inside the rod to minimise snagging and tangling when not in use, theOkuma Sabiki 7ft3 20lbs 2pc rod has been designed to be tucked away under the gunnel or cabin when not in use to minimise rods out in the open. The Sabiki rod is perfect for shorter length jigs with small to medium sized hooks. The combo comes with the Shimano Sedona FJ 4000, the reel is big enough that you will be easily able to bring in a string of yakkas or slimy mackerel quickly before they can pull hooks, but it is also lightweight and wont take up too much room in the boat. This combo is spooled with multicolour braid so you can keep track of where your sabiki is in the water column .

Please note, this model is designed for inshore and harbour Sabiki's so you will not get big offshore Sabiki Jigs into it Ottos recommends the Okuma Blue or the Daiwa Sabiki Rods for bigger jigs.

A slight increase in length allows more brands of jigs to be wound completely inside the rod, while the slimmer design increases the action of the rod and in turn the fish catching action of the jig.

Designed to be used with either spin or overhead reels, the Sabiki UTG is a two piece design for easy storage, with a butt join rather than the traditional join above the bottom line guide that can make line feeding difficult and cause snagging of swivels on sabiki jigs. The tip of the Sabiki UTG is also uniquely designed to remove the snagging that occurs both on the outside of the tip and internally where the tip joins the rod blank on traditional sabiki rods.
