Shimano Speedmaster & Talica 24kg LBG Kingfish Livebait Fishing Combo

This LBG combo has been put together for the purpose of targeting the hardest fighting pelagic species that the east coast has to offer. Those long days spent sitting on the rockledge waiting for something to eat your livebaits can all be spent in vain if your equipment isnt upto the standard needed to land the fish of a lifetime. We chose the Shimano Speedmaster LBG for this combo as it uses premium components, has an excellent build quality and strong blank. 7ft is a good length for livebaiting off of the rocks, its long enough that you will be able to keep your line from hitting the rocks on your drift. Once hooked up you will have more power over the fish with a 7ft rod comapred to a longer 9-10ft LBG rod. The 2 Speed feature of the Talica 25 will help you when bigger fish are sitting away from the ledge in deeper water as the low gear function makes it easier to get winds on fish. When livebaiting close to structure we suggest using the normal gear ratio as it is important to get that big Kingfish or Cobia you are after away from anything they can bust you off on! We spooled this setup with 300yards of 60lbs PowerPro backing and approximately 200m of 24kilo topshot. 

This combo was put together for the purpose of livebaiting for Yellowtail Kingfish but can also be used to target Cobia, Northern Bluefin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel or even Black Marlin!
