Up at the Swains jigging and bottom bashing is an incredibly effective way to target a wide variety of fish species, you'll be able to chase bottom fish such as Trout and Nannygai, Trevally and the prized Dogtooth Tuna. Jigging is tough on your gear so its important that you have quality rods and reels that wont let you down when you are 15 hours out to sea. Shimano are known for making their overheads tough and the Torium is no exception, it has 11kilos of drag a solid line capacity and is well sealed. They've even got a clicker setting so you can hear some singing drag whilst getting smoked by a big pelagic. The Sakana III Jig range is a favourite among the Otto's team and the PE5 overhead model has been tested by us on plenty of hard fighting pelagic fish.
